Dr. Virginia Whitekiller is a Professor at the School of Social Work, Northeastern State University (NSU). She specializes in applying cultural resilience theory to address challenges faced by Indigenous populations, including microaggressions, higher education retention, and child welfare. Her research has been recognized through prestigious awards, including the 2009 Smithsonian Community Scholar appointment and the 2018-2019 Fulbright Canada Jarislowsky Research Chair in Aboriginal Studies.
