Christopher C. Garland

Christopher C. Garland is an Assistant Professor at the Northeastern State University School of Social Work. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Oklahoma State University, an MSW from the University of Oklahoma, and a BSW from Northeastern State University. Garland has been affiliated with NSU since 2006, following a career as a licensed social worker in Oklahoma’s Guidance program and 13 years in Child Welfare with the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Garland’s professional contributions include the Shusterman Foundation Scholarship, recognizing his work in social work education. He has supervised child welfare investigations and service planning, bringing practical experience to his academic role.
