Virginia Wagner is a Lecturer in the Department of Painting and Drawing at the School of Art+Design, SUNY Purchase. She is a full-time faculty member whose interdisciplinary practice is rooted in painting, animation, and writing.

Her artistic research explores the complex relationship between human progress and the natural world. Focusing on ecological tension, material sustainability, and landscape perception, her work spans visual paintings, animated pieces, and written reflections. Wagner has been recognized with multiple grants and artist residencies, reflecting the national esteem for her creative contributions.
