Vipin Anantha Krishna is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at the University of Pittsburgh. His academic background spans history, political studies, sociology, and psychology, with degrees from the University of California Los Angeles (PhD, 2024), Jawaharlal Nehru University (MPhil, 2014), University of Hyderabad (MA, 2010), and Bangalore University (BA, 2008).
His research centers on 18th and 19th-century epistemology and philological practices, with emphasis on South Asia. Key interests include colonial knowledge systems, linguistic history, and intersections of power and language in postcolonial contexts.
