Dr. Vinko Paulić is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, University of Zagreb. He holds a PhD and has been actively involved in academic and research roles since 2009, progressing from an assistant to his current position. His primary affiliations are within the Department of Forestry, focusing on urban forestry, arboriculture, and silvicultural practices.
Dr. Paulić teaches courses such as Arboriculture, Nursery Production of Ornamental Plants, and Silviculture of Special Purpose Forests. His research interests emphasize urban tree stability, climate impacts on forest ecosystems, and sustainable forestry practices. He has extensively studied tree risk assessment using acoustic tomography and explored the effects of environmental factors like soil moisture and sulfur accumulation in urban settings.
His work bridges theoretical research and practical applications, including the translation of European standards for urban tree management and the socio-economic evaluation of urban forests. He collaborates on projects addressing forest management challenges in Mediterranean regions and the Dinaric Mountains, with a focus on biodiversity conservation and climate adaptation strategies.
