Vinicius Perez Simas is an Assistant Professor (Clinical Practice) and Sessional Senior Teaching Fellow at Bond University's Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine. His work focuses on occupational health, military medicine, and systematic reviews. He has supervised multiple non-HDR student research projects since 2020.
Research interests include veterans' health, firefighter safety, musculoskeletal injuries in tactical personnel, and law enforcement fitness standards. He co-authored a 2025 commissioned report on Australian Defence Force occupational exposures and led a 2023 systematic review on tactical footwear impacts.
Notable publications address firefighter task demands (Ergonomics, 2023), law enforcement fitness testing (Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2024), and military occupational health risks. Collaborations span Australia and Brazil, with active research in occupational epidemiology and biomechanics.
