Dr. Vincenzo Pecunia is an Associate Professor in the School of Sustainable Energy Engineering at Simon Fraser University (SFU), Faculty of Applied Sciences. His research focuses on sustainable optoelectronics, printable semiconductors, and next-generation photovoltaics with applications in energy harvesting and low-power electronics. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Cambridge (2015), an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (2009 and 2007).
His work spans organic and perovskite photodetectors, lead-free photovoltaic materials, and ultra-low-power printed electronics. He has authored books such as *Organic Narrowband Photodetectors* and *Organic and Amorphous-Metal-Oxide Flexible Analogue Electronics*, and holds patents on low-voltage circuits and photonic devices. Dr. Pecunia is a Fellow of the IOM3, a Senior Member of IEEE, and serves on editorial boards for journals like *Journal of Physics: Materials* and *Nanotechnology*.
Recent research highlights include advancements in lead-free perovskite-inspired absorbers for indoor photovoltaics, ambipolar carbon-nanotube transistors for energy-efficient electronics, and sustainable nano-materials for IoT applications. His contributions bridge fundamental material science with practical applications in renewable energy and smart systems.
