Vincent Charles Keating is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), affiliated with the Department of Political Science and Public Management within the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. He also holds roles in the SDU Climate Cluster and has served as a Visiting Professor at Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas (2022–2022). His research focuses on trust, legitimacy, and human rights in international relations, with notable work on Russian soft power, NGO accountability, and geopolitical cybersecurity challenges.
Education: PhD in International Politics (Aberystwyth University, 2011); MSc in Nationalism Studies (University of Edinburgh, 2006); BA in Economics (Dalhousie University, 2000).
Key Research Interests: Human Rights in the War on Terror, Trust Dynamics in International Politics, Russian Conservative Soft Power, INGO Legitimacy, Geopolitical Cybersecurity, and Climate Policy for Rural Sustainability.
Current Projects: Leading the Novo Nordisk Foundation-funded 'Sustainable Futures for New Generations of Farmers' (2025–2028) and co-leading the Industriens Fond-funded 'Cybersikkerhed og Forretningskontinuitet' (2023–2026), focusing on SME cybersecurity resilience and rural environmental stewardship.

- Teaching: Program Responsible for the Master's in International Security and Law at SDU, with courses on human rights, international organizations, and crisis simulation.
Labs/Teams: Active in interdisciplinary teams at SDU Climate Cluster and cybersecurity research partnerships with Danish SMEs.
