Professor Vincent Blok holds joint appointments as Professor of Philosophy of Data Science and AI at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Professor of Philosophy of Technology at Wageningen University. As Scientific Director of the 4TU Centre for Ethics of Technology, he examines ethical dimensions of disruptive technologies.
Research encompasses:
- Continental philosophy approaches to technology ethics
- Responsible innovation frameworks
- Anthropocene philosophy and planetary threats
- Heideggerian and Jüngerian philosophy of technology
His scholarship connects academic philosophy with societal challenges through publications in Research in Phenomenology, Philosophy & Technology, and Science. He chairs the International School for Philosophy (ISVW) and contributes to policy discussions on AI governance.
