His research employs ethnographic approaches to explore urban soundscapes and acoustic communities. Key themes include sound infrastructure, oral history, and the role of sound in shaping cultural and urban identities. He disseminates findings through audio media and publications, often connecting to Latin American contexts.
Vincent’s publications and presentations highlight interdisciplinary methodologies, with a focus on sound’s intersection with gender (e.g., drumming on Instagram), urban infrastructure (water tanks in Havana), and pedagogy (e.g., “Learning to Listen”). His work has been featured in journals like Tapuya and Interference, as well as at TEDx and Pecha Kucha events.
Scientific Awards:

Vincent contributes to pedagogy through course-based media projects and his podcast/radio show “The Place of Sound,” which showcases student work. His teaching includes foundational courses in communication and media studies, digital media production, and specialized graduate topics on sound and urban spaces.
