Vinay Mannam

Vinay Mannam serves as Associate Professor in the Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Food Science Department at Framingham State University, where he has been faculty for the M.S. Food Science and Nutrition Science program since 2014 and currently holds the Graduate Program Advisor role.

His research optimizes food processing conditions to enhance product quality and nutritional value, with specialized focus on shelf-life modeling through accelerated degradation studies of perishable goods. This work directly targets minimization of food loss and waste across supply chains, integrating engineering principles with sustainability objectives in food systems.

Dr. Mannam actively engages in food science education, extension services, and community outreach, emphasizing his multifaceted approach as educator, coach, and industry guide for students pursuing food science careers.
