Vimal Sriram is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the School of Public Health, Imperial College London, and Director of Allied Health Professionals at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. He is also Deputy Theme Lead for the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration in Northwest London.
- Trained as an Occupational Therapist in India.
- DPhil in Population Health and MSc in Evidence-Based Healthcare from the University of Oxford.
- Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and former NICE Fellow (2015–2018).
Research interests span public health, digital health, capacity building, and applied health research. He specializes in mixed-methods research, eLearning, and mentoring for Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), particularly those from Black and Minoritised Ethnic backgrounds.
Leadership roles include Vice Chair of the Research & Development Board at the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, Senior Responsible Officer for Advanced Practice in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care System, and Founding Fellow of Innovate Healthier Together in Health Innovation West of England.
Scientific awards include:
