Viktoriia Rutckaia is a Research Professor and Director of the Photonics Core Facility at the Advanced Science Research Center (ASRC), The Graduate Center, CUNY. She joined ASRC in April 2023, bringing expertise in light-matter interactions, nanofabrication, and optical characterization of nanodevices. Prior to this role, she held a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Global Fellowship, collaborating with Prof. Andrea Alu (ASRC) and Prof. Joerg Schilling (Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg).

She specializes in numerical modeling and experimental techniques for nanodevices. The Photonics Core Facility under her direction supports cutting-edge optical research at CUNY.
She has received a prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship (2018–2021), highlighting her contributions to interdisciplinary photonics research.
