Vijaykumar is a Professor in the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University. His research focuses on computer architecture, VLSI design, and circuit optimization. He is affiliated with the Max W and Maileen Brown Family Hall at the West Lafayette campus.

His research spans machine learning acceleration, GPU computing, and hardware security. Recent work includes neural radiance field optimizations, speculative execution security, and processing-in-memory architectures. Publications demonstrate expertise in scalable verification, distributed rendering, and efficient data movement.
