Vijayan Asari is a Professor and Endowed Chair in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Dayton since 2010. Previously, he served as Professor (2007-2010) and Associate Professor (2000-2007) at Old Dominion University.
His research focuses on Image Processing, Computer Vision, and Deep Learning, with applications in autonomous systems, medical diagnostics, and 3D reconstruction. Recent publications highlight hybrid CNNs for image segmentation, point cloud generation for Lidar, and AI-driven healthcare solutions.
He holds prestigious memberships including:
