Viên Truong is a Salata Climate Action Fellow at Harvard University's The Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability, recognized nationally for two decades of leadership in sustainability strategy across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She advises lawmakers, Fortune 500 companies, and foundations on climate policy and equity-centered solutions.
Her research focuses on integrating climate risk into business resilience, governance, and community outcomes, exploring how disclosure frameworks and community-led initiatives can drive inclusive economic resilience. She investigates transition finance models and place-based investment strategies for climate solutions.

Truong has shaped national climate policy through direct advisory roles with the Biden-Harris Climate Engagement Advisory Council, California's COVID-19 Recovery Task Force, and Fortune 500 companies. At The Salata Institute, she collaborates with faculty and financial leaders to develop climate risk governance frameworks and community investment models, emphasizing frontline community engagement in climate resilience planning.
