Vida Abedi

Vida Abedi, PhD, MS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the Penn State College of Medicine. Her research focuses on stroke epidemiology, health informatics, and post-COVID conditions. She leads an active NIH-funded project on machine learning predictions for ischemic stroke outcomes using EHR data.

Recent work includes studies on physical activity adherence among stroke survivors, disparities in perceived general health, and development of EHR imputation tools. Her research contributes to Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being (SDG 3).
