Roles & Affiliations: Victoria Luperi is an Artist Lecturer in Clarinet at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Music. She concurrently holds orchestral positions as Associate Principal Clarinet and Principal E-flat Clarinet of the Pittsburgh Symphony, Principal Clarinet with the Corpus Christi Symphony, and Assistant Principal Clarinet with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. She has also served as Adjunct Faculty at Texas Christian University and taught at Brandon University, the New York Summer Music Festival, and other institutions globally.
Education: She graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music under Donald Montanaro, building on her early training in Argentina with Oscar Gieco, followed by studies with Richard Hawkins and Yehuda Gilad.
Research & Performance: A renowned performer, Luperi specializes in solo and chamber music, collaborating with ensembles like the Emerson and Guarneri Quartets. She has premiered works such as John B. Hedges’ “Fantasía sobre Yma Sumac” and Till Meyn’s “Canzoni di Fiori.” Her performances span festivals including Marlboro, Mainly Mozart, and Mimir, with broadcasts on NPR, WQED, and the CBC.

Advising & Mentorship: Her students have been accepted into prestigious programs such as the Curtis Institute, New England Conservatory, and the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. She has also served as a jury member for the Carl Nielsen International Competition (2022).
Industry Contributions: As a Vandoren Artist and Buffet Crampon USA Performing Artist, she contributed to the development of Buffet Crampon’s “Tradition” clarinet model. Her work bridges academic teaching, professional orchestral performance, and instrument innovation.
