Victoria E. Mateu

Victoria E. Mateu is an Assistant Professor of Hispanic Linguistics at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her research focuses on child language acquisition (monolingual/bilingual), heritage/second language acquisition, morphosyntax, and cross-linguistic insights. She explores topics like word segmentation, syntactic category acquisition, and language processing mechanisms in diverse populations.
