Victoria Brazil is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Director of the Translational Simulation Collaborative at Bond University's Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine. She also serves as an Emergency Medicine Specialist at Gold Coast Hospital and previously held roles at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the University of Queensland. Her work focuses on integrating simulation into healthcare education and patient care improvement.
Research interests include translational simulation for healthcare quality, teamwork training in emergency settings, and interprofessional collaboration. She co-produces the Simulcast podcast and hosts the Harvard Macy Institute podcast, emphasizing FOAMed and social media in medical education.
Recent projects include optimizing stress exposure simulations for emergency teams (2021-2022) and exploring simulation design for emotional regulation. Over 100 research outputs span articles on simulation ethics, faculty development, and pandemic preparedness through translational practices.
