Victoria A. Muller Ewald

Victoria A. Muller Ewald is an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at St. Mary's College of Maryland. Her research program employs electroencephalography (EEG) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to investigate attention, cognitive processing, and neuropsychiatric conditions.

Current investigations focus on neural oscillations associated with cognitive control mechanisms, particularly in substance use disorders and bipolar spectrum conditions. Her work bridges clinical neuroscience and cognitive psychology methodologies to identify biomarkers and neuromodulation approaches for neuropsychiatric treatment.

Professor Muller Ewald teaches courses on sensation and perception, psychopharmacology, and the neurobiology of addictive behaviors. Her research laboratory provides undergraduate training in cognitive neuroscience techniques and experimental design.
