Victor X. Jin

Victor X. Jin, PhD holds the Linda T. and John A. Mellowes Endowed Chair of Bioinformatics and Data Analytics and is a Professor in the Data Science Institute and Biostatistics Department at the Medical College of Wisconsin. His research focuses on integrating computational and experimental approaches to study 3D chromatin interactions and epigenetic mechanisms in cancer. He leads a systems biology lab with expertise in both computational analysis (dry lab) and wet-lab techniques such as 3C/ChIP/RT-qPCR and CRISPR/Cas9.

Key research interests include:

• Developing computational methods for analyzing Hi-C and omics-seq data
• Characterizing epigenetic roles in cancer progression
• Identifying therapeutic targets through multi-omics integration

His recent work has explored tumor heterogeneity in breast and pancreatic cancers, transcriptional regulation mechanisms, and neoantigen-based immunotherapy strategies. He collaborates across disciplines to advance precision medicine approaches.

Dr. Jin's lab combines cutting-edge genomic technologies with advanced bioinformatics tools to understand complex disease mechanisms. Current projects include studying 3D chromatin architecture's role in cancer resistance and developing predictive models for therapeutic response.
