معرفی
Xuan Thang Nguyen is a Research Fellow in the Chromatin Biology Group at the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Oslo. He holds an affiliation with the Faculty of Medicine and focuses on epigenetic mechanisms in cancer and developmental biology. His work integrates wet-lab experiments with bioinformatics to study multiomics data, including WGS sequencing, ChIP-seq, and ATAC-seq analyses.
His research interests center on understanding how epigenetic aberrations drive cancer progression, particularly in sarcomas like osteosarcoma and rhabdomyosarcoma. He investigates transcription factor mutations and genomic instability using advanced NGS techniques. Nguyen’s Master’s research explored the role of the INO80 chromatin remodeler in breast cancer models, demonstrating its interaction with estrogen receptors.
His studies combine computational methods with experimental approaches to address complex genomic and epigenetic interactions. Recent work focuses on sarcoma cell lines to uncover mechanisms behind tumor aggressiveness. Despite no listed publications in institutional databases, his research aligns with broader themes in cancer epigenetics and precision medicine.
Nguyen collaborates within the Chromatin Biology Group and participates in interdisciplinary projects at the Institute. His expertise spans chromatin regulation, epigenetic profiling, and multiomics integration, contributing to both fundamental and translational cancer research.
