Victor Stoichita is an Ordinary Professor in modern and contemporary art history at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, since 1991. He has held numerous visiting professorships globally, including at Harvard University, National Gallery of Art (Washington D.C.), and universities in Belgium, Italy, France, and Germany.
