Victor J. Forte, Ph.D., is a Professor of Religious Studies at Albright College. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Religion from Temple University (2005), an M.A. in Religion (Temple, 1999), an M.S. in Environmental Science from Drexel University (1992), and a B.A. in Biology from Millersville State University (1980).
Forte specializes in Buddhist Thought, Comparative Ethics, Japanese Buddhism, and Inter-religious Dialogue. His research includes contributions to journals like The Eastern Buddhist and Philosophy East and West, as well as edited volumes such as Japanese Philosophy and Buddhist Roles in Peacemaking. He collaborates with students on projects like Genocide Studies and translations of works by Ueda Shizuteru.
