Victor Guryev is an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Medical Sciences and affiliated with the UMCG. He holds roles in the Protein Homeostasis group and the Groningen Research Institute for Asthma and COPD (GRIAC). His research focuses on computational biology, genomics, and aging-related mechanisms.
Education: MSc from Novosibirsk State University (1998), PhD from the Institute of Cytology and Genetics, Novosibirsk (2002). Professional Experience: Postdoc at Hubrecht Institute (2002-2007), Head of Bioinformatics there (2007-2012), and Team Leader at the European Research Institute for the Biology of Ageing (since 2012).
Research Interests: Epigenetics, gene expression regulation, genetic variation in disease contexts, and respiratory disorders like COPD. Key contributions include genomic studies on aging, lung inflammation, and nanoparticle interactions.
