Victor Eugene Allen

Victor Eugene Allen is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Arlington and an adjunct instructor at Tarrant County College, Northeast Campus, in the Mental Health and Human Services Department. He holds a Master of Social Work in Advanced Community Practice and a Bachelor of Social Work (summa cum laude) from UTA, with a minor in African American Studies.

His research and teaching focus on military social work, social policy, social justice, ethics, and diverse populations. With a background as a retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major, his work emphasizes leadership, community engagement, and support for at-risk populations, particularly military families and youth. He mentors students through the Student Association for Macro Social Work (SAMSW) and teaches courses such as Military Families, Social Policy for Child and Youth, and Theories of Human Behavior.

His recent TEDx talk, "Command Presence: Learning How to See Gray," reflects his ability to communicate complex leadership and ethical concepts. Though no publications are listed, his professional work and awards highlight a strong commitment to service and education.
