Dr. Vicky Duong is a Research Fellow at the Kolling Institute of Medical Research, part of the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health. She holds qualifications including a BSc(Hons), DPT, and PhD. Her research focuses on digital interventions for osteoarthritis, emphasizing wearable technology and mobile applications to improve adherence to treatment regimens. She has extensive experience in coordinating randomized clinical trials, including the RESTORE trial evaluating platelet-rich plasma for knee osteoarthritis and the COMBO trial assessing conservative therapies for thumb base osteoarthritis.
Dr. Duong is also involved in teaching, tutoring first-year medical students in physical examination skills at Sydney Medical School. Her work bridges basic science, clinical practice, and patient engagement, as highlighted in her 2023 commentary on gaps in osteoarthritis research dissemination.
