Vicky Browne is Lecturer in Sonic Arts and Sculpture at Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney. She holds a Master of Visual Art from Sydney College of the Arts (2010) and exhibits internationally at venues including Artspace Sydney, MONA FOMA, and City Gallery Wellington.
Her interdisciplinary practice explores material ecologies through sculpture, sound installations, and crafted objects. Browne examines consumption patterns, networked relationships, and the boundaries between work and play. Recent solo exhibitions include 'Work/Play' (Blue Mountains City Gallery, 2022) exploring material interactions and 'Underground' (2023) investigating subterranean-cosmic connections.
Browne has received numerous awards including the Australia Council New Work Grant (2021) and Fauvette Loureiro Memorial Travel Scholarship (2013). She coordinates the First Year Foundation program at Sydney College of the Arts and mentors emerging artists.
