Vickie Baselski

Vickie Baselski, PhD, DABMM, FAAM, is a Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Tennessee. She previously served as an Associate Professor in the College of Allied Health Professions at the same institution. Dr. Baselski's academic career spans over four decades, with a focus on microbiology and clinical laboratory sciences.

Education: B.A. in Microbiology (1974) and Ph.D. in Microbiology (1978) from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by a CDC fellowship in Public Health and Medical Laboratory Microbiology (1978-1980).

Her research interests include medical microbiology, infectious diseases, and public health diagnostics. She holds Tennessee certification as a Laboratory Director in Microbiology and Public Health Laboratory Director.
