Dr. Vi Khanh Truong is an ARC Future Fellow at Flinders University, affiliated with both the College of Medicine and Public Health and the College of Science and Engineering. His research focuses on biomedical engineering, antimicrobial nanomaterials, and biomaterials for infection control. He holds a PhD and Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Swinburne University of Technology.
His work explores
- antimicrobial nanocoatings for orthopedic implants
- liquid metal-based antiviral fabrics
- stimuli-activated antimicrobial therapies
- biofilm disruption using magnetic activation
- black silicon's bactericidal properties.
Recent publications highlight trends in liquid metal applications, surface science, and nanomaterials for biomedical purposes. He has received the prestigious ARC Future Fellowship and contributes to global Sustainable Development Goals through innovations in medical device engineering and antimicrobial resistance solutions.
