Vessela Warren is a Senior Lecturer in Operations Management/Project Management at the University of Worcester's Department of Management and Finance. She holds a DBA from the University of Gloucestershire, an MBA from the University of West of England, and a BSc in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Bologna. Her teaching focuses on modules such as Operations, Project and Risk Management, Entrepreneurship, and International Business Strategy, emphasizing experiential and student-centered pedagogies.
Her research interests span innovation management, service design, strategic innovation, and sustainability. She chairs the Managing Risk, Operations and Sustainability (MORS) Research Group and is part of the Applied Research Group at Worcester Business School. She leads Knowledge Transfer Projects (KEEN/KTP), including the development of new racking services using visualization and 3D printing technologies.
Her doctoral supervision expertise includes strategic innovation management, with current projects exploring cultural impacts on patent valuation, captive insurance innovations, and purchasing integration in consumer electronics. She also supervises projects on PPP adoption in Sub-Saharan Africa and meso-economic risk factors.
