Vesna Petković is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts, specializing in Guitar and Methodology of Guitar. She holds an MA from the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade (2006) and graduated in Guitar from the Zagreb Music Academy (1983). Her career includes teaching positions at institutions in Novi Sad (1983–1988) and Niš (1988–2000). A dedicated performer, she has soloed across Serbia, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria, and the Republic of Srpska, collaborating with flutist Bratislav Zlatković in Duo Crescendo.
- Research Focus: Integration of Aikido principles into guitar technique (MA thesis: "The Basic Principles of Aikido in Correlation with Guitar Playing")
- Artistic Leadership: Founded international guitar festivals in Leskovac (2000) and Niš (2008), serving as artistic director of the Naissus Guitar Festival.
Her performances include recordings for Serbian national broadcasters and jury roles at international festivals in Bulgaria and Slovenia. She has conducted masterclasses at festivals like Guitar Art-Belgrade and Naissus Guitar-Niš, emphasizing chamber music and pedagogical innovation.
