Veronika Mogyorody is a Professor at the University of Windsor, affiliated with the School of Creative Arts and the Department of Visual Arts and the Built Environment. She holds a prominent role as an academic architectural advisor, contributing to campus development projects such as the downtown campus revitalization and the restoration of the SoCA Armouries. Recognized for her innovative teaching practices, she received the 3M National Teaching Fellowship and the Brightspace Innovation in Teaching Award. Her work emphasizes accessibility, inclusive design, and the integration of urban spaces with educational environments.
Her academic contributions include advising on architectural projects like the revitalization of the Windsor Armouries, which earned a Built Heritage Award. She has led initiatives to enhance campus accessibility through workshops on human-centered design and universal design principles. Additionally, she played a key role in establishing the Sunset House, a hub for retired faculty and staff.
Mogyorody’s expertise spans architectural education, community engagement in urban planning, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. She has been involved in mentoring students and shaping curricula, such as the Visual Arts and the Built Environment (VABE) program, which emphasizes practical and creative approaches to design.
