Veronica Zampedri is a Researcher and PhD candidate at the Institute of the History of Pharmacy and Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Pharmacy at Philipps University Marburg.
Her research focuses on parasitic diseases caused by worms in Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, the transfer of medical knowledge across antiquity, and the analysis of healing practices from these regions. She is pursuing a dissertation project on parasitic diseases in ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian healing traditions.
