Ricarda Gericke is a Doctoral Candidate and Research Fellow at the Institute of the History of Pharmacy and Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Philipps University Marburg. Since July 2024, she has been working as a Research Assistant in the AESOH project, focusing on Egypt-related human remains. Her academic activities include excavation participations in Cairo, Egypt (2021–2024), internships at the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna (2022), and research data management roles.

Her recent work includes a poster presentation at the 55th Permanent Egyptology Conference (Hamm, June 2024) on cross-collection analysis of Egypt-related human remains, and a lecture at the 12th Steindorff Day (2022) about dummy canopic jars. She received the Lower Saxony State Scholarship in 2018 and holds a master's degree in Egyptology from the University of Leipzig (2019–2023), where her thesis examined canopic jar practices during the Third Intermediate Period.
