Veronica Sjöberg is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Sciences at Dalarna University's Department of Medical Sciences, within the School of Health and Welfare. She holds a PhD in Care Sciences and is a registered physiotherapist with extensive experience in pain rehabilitation and digital health interventions.
Her research focuses on developing the eVISualisation (eVIS) intervention, combining wearable activity tracking and web-based tools to support chronic pain patients' physical activity and pain management. Key studies include validating eVIS's technical feasibility and clinical applicability, as well as exploring acute exercise effects in musculoskeletal pain contexts.
Teaching responsibilities include courses on acute/chronic pain management, ergonomics, and childbirth pain relief across nursing, midwifery, and physiotherapy programs. She coordinates the Physiotherapy with Focus on Pain and Sustainable Development course.
Active in academic governance, she serves on the Committee for Course and Programme Syllabuses (IHOV) at Dalarna University.
