Prof. Björn Äng is a Professor of Medical Sciences at Dalarna University and Head of the Department of Research and Higher Education at Region Dalarna. He holds an adjunct position at Karolinska Institutet and directs Dalarna University's Research Centre for Public Health and Sports (RePS). His academic journey includes a Physiotherapy degree from Karolinska Institutet (2000), a PhD in Medical Sciences (2007), and roles including Senior Lecturer (2009), Associate Professor (2012), and Acting Head of the Centre for Clinical Research-Dalarna (2015).
Research focuses on musculoskeletal pain rehabilitation, interventional therapies, and translational programs involving military and sports communities.
