Veronica Newcomer

Veronica (Roni) Newcomer is an Adjunct Professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law and affiliated with the Native American Law and Sovereignty Institute Advisory Board. She serves as In-House Counsel for the White Earth Nation, representing tribal agencies in Tribal Court and district courts.

• B.A. in Communication and American Indian Studies from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
• J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law

Research & Practice

Her work focuses on tribal legal sovereignty, Indigenous rights advocacy, and federal-tribal law intersections. She contributes to tribal governance through litigation and policy representation.
