Veronica Droser is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at SUNY Brockport. She holds a PhD from the University of Denver and focuses on family communication, interpersonal relationships, and health communication. Her research explores grief management, family communication patterns across cultural groups, and critical pedagogy approaches in education.
Dr. Droser’s academic background includes a M.A. from Portland State University and a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She teaches courses on interpersonal communication, conflict management, and interviewing techniques. Her work emphasizes community engagement and relational well-being, with recent studies focusing on bereavement communication and baby loss rituals.
Her publications span topics like cyberbullying communication strategies, parent-child relationships after spousal death, and narrative analysis of grief rituals. She actively contributes to critical communication pedagogy, advocating for socially just teaching methods.
