Vernesa Smolčić is a Professor in the Department of Experimental Physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Zagreb, holding a permanent appointment since earning her PhD in 2007. She is a leading researcher in observational astrophysics with a focus on galaxy evolution.
Her research spans Radio Astronomy, Galaxy Formation, and Observational Cosmology, utilizing large-scale astronomical datasets to study cosmic evolution through radio observations and big data methodologies.
Professor Smolčić has received significant recognition including:
