Vera Gergov is a part-time Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki's Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Psychology and Logopedics. Her work focuses on improving access to psychosocial interventions for adolescents in educational, healthcare, and correctional settings through the IMAGINE-consortium, funded by the Strategic Research Council (SRC). She holds a PhD in Psychology and is a clinical psychologist with specialist qualifications in psychotherapy.
Research Interests include adolescent mental health, psychotherapy efficacy, burnout among healthcare professionals, and systematic reviews of intervention outcomes. Her work spans cross-cultural studies, pandemic impact analysis, and youth mental health policy alignment with Finland's 2020–2030 mental health strategy.
