معرفی
Velisa Vesovic is a Professor of Transport Phenomena at the Department of Earth Science & Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Imperial College London since 2011. He holds affiliations with the Energy group, Institute for Molecular Science and Engineering, and Metals and Minerals research areas. His career includes roles as Reader (2007–2011), Senior Lecturer (1998–2007), and Lecturer (1993–1998) at Imperial College.
Education:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Imperial College (1982)
- BSc(Eng.) in Chemical Engineering, Imperial College (1978)
Research Interests: Focuses on modeling transport phenomena in chemical, petrochemical, and environmental systems. Key areas include molecular interactions influencing transport coefficients, high-pressure fluid mixture viscosity, diffusion coefficients, oil reservoir modeling (condensates & heavy oil), and LNG spreading/vaporization. His work bridges fundamental physics with applied engineering challenges.
Awards & Esteem:
- Executive Advisory Board Member, Al-Masdar Meeting (2007–present)
- US Congress Expert Panel on LNG tanker safety (2007)
- Organized 16th European Thermophysical Properties Conference (2002)
Consultancy & Publications: Advises the chemical/petrochemical industry on computational modeling. Has authored over 80 refereed papers and reviews. Active in industrial and environmental safety modeling.
