Vaskar Sarkar is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad), where he has held academic positions since 2009, progressing from Visiting Assistant Professor to full Professor (since October 2023). His research focuses on power systems stability, renewable energy integration, photovoltaic systems optimization, and microgrid control.
