Vasiliki Anevlavi

Vasiliki Anevlavi is a postdoctoral researcher at the Austrian Archaeological Institute, part of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna. She specializes in archaeometry, focusing on white marble provenance research through scientific analyses, including isotope, chemical, and fluid inclusion studies. Her work is deeply rooted in Roman archaeology and cultural heritage conservation.

• Education: PhD from the University of Salzburg (2020-2024) on 'Production and Use of White Marble in Roman Thrace'; MSc and BA in Cultural Heritage from the University of the Peloponnese (2010-2016).
• Research Focus: Origin determination of white marbles in the Roman world using a multi-proxy approach.
• Affiliations: Coordinator of the Early Career Research Group (ECRG) and member of the Young Researchers in Archaeometry (YRA) group since 2018.
