Vasco Fronzoni

Vasco Fronzoni is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Asian and North African Studies of Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He specializes in Islamic Law, Comparative Law, and Criminal Law, focusing on legal systems of Islamic countries and Shari'a principles. His roles include teaching Islamic Law in programs such as 'Lingue, Economie e Istituzioni dell'Asia e dell'Africa Mediterranea' and 'Studi Transmediterranei.'

He holds a Law Degree from Università di Napoli Federico II (1995), an Islamic Sciences Degree (2005) with the 'Alberto Passerini' award, and a Ph.D. in Middle Eastern and Maghreb Studies (2009). He is an attorney since 1998 and has served in the Italian Navy as a Commercial Diver.

His research spans international projects like the EU-funded CiSoTRa initiative (2019–2020) addressing social inclusion of unaccompanied minors, and the TRA in Training project (2018–2019) combating radicalization. He coordinates the Legal Area in the CiSoTRa project and advises on Halal tourism in Puglia.
