Gerardo Tocchini is a Full Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. His research focuses on Modern History, Enlightenment Studies, and the Political and Cultural Dimensions of Opera. He is particularly known for his work on Voltaire's reception in Italy, Freemasonry in 18th-Century Europe, and Historiography of the Risorgimento. In the 2024/25 academic year, he holds in-person office hours every Wednesday at 12:00 PM at Ca' Bernardo, 2nd Floor, with additional email-based internship guidance for students with last names F-O in the Political-International Curriculum.
