Professor Vasanti Jadva is a faculty member at City St George's, University of London, where she joined in 2023. She leads the Family, Infancy and Childhood (FINCH) Research Lab and holds honorary positions at the Centre for Child, Adolescent and Family Research, University of Cambridge, and the Institute for Women's Health, University College London (UCL).
Her research focuses on family diversity and child development, particularly in families created through assisted reproductive technologies such as IVF, egg donation, sperm donation, and surrogacy. She investigates the psychological well-being of parents and children in these families, as well as the experiences of surrogates and gamete donors.
Dr Jadva is currently involved in several key research initiatives, including a longitudinal study of families formed via surrogacy and gamete donation, and a 20-year follow-up study of surrogates, highlighting long-term trends in donor and surrogate experiences.
