Vanessa Thompson, MD is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. She serves as a primary care provider at the Richard Fine People's Clinic and mentors residents in inpatient medical services. As a clinician-educator, she focuses on medical education, diversity, and equity. Her roles include coaching the School of Medicine and leading the Program for Clinician Educator Success (PROcess). She co-founded the Women in Leadership Development (WILD) program and was inducted into the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators in 2020.
