Vanessa R. Yingling

Vanessa R. Yingling serves as Professor and Department Chair of Kinesiology at Occidental College, appointed in 2025 with her office located in Bioscience 314A.

Her academic credentials include:

• M.S. from State University of New York, Buffalo
• Ph.D. from University of Waterloo

Professor Yingling's research centers on human movement science, with expertise spanning biomechanical analysis, motor skill acquisition, exercise physiology, sports injury prevention, and health promotion through physical activity. Her work bridges theoretical kinesiology with practical applications in athletic performance and public health.
